About This Class
Thursday morning movement class entails 1.5 hrs of exploration through the body using different types of movement. The focus is to awaken the feeling body and allow the body to “move you” (as opposed to you “making it move”) and ignite your inner guidance within your body.
The flow of the class is slow to start with different forms soft fluid movement, giving you time to drop in, slow down and connect internally. Along with a deep stillness meditation there is stretching, some active movement, somatic exploration and breath work.
You will find over the course of the time in class you will
- calm your nervous system and quieten your mind
- relax the tension and stress held in your body
- release pain, both physical and emotional
- open up to listening to what is unconsciously being held within
- deepen your ability to receive, especially guidance from your internal guidance system
Following class there is a 10-15 opportunity to share your experience with the group. This can be a very anchoring, healing and powerful time and it is strongly encouraged to join in and become part of the community. Confidentiality is honored and you are invited to share what is true and comfortable for you.
